SECTION 44" VIOLATION <br /> Subd. 1. The municipality may suspend or revoke a license issued under this Ordinance upon <br /> findings of a violation of. (1) any of the provisions of this subdivision; (2) any state statute regulating <br /> pawnbrokers; (3) any state or local law relating to moral character and repute. <br /> Subd. 2. Any conviction by a pawnbroker, for theft,receiving stolen property, or any other crime or <br /> violation involving stolen property, shall result in immediate suspension pending hearing on <br /> revocation of any license issued hereunder. <br /> Subd. 3. Except in the case of a suspension pending a hearing on revocation, a revocation or <br /> suspension by the municipality shall be preceded by written notice to licensee of a public hearing. <br /> The written notice shall give at least eight days notice of the time and place of the hearing and shall <br /> state the nature of the charges against the pawnbroker. The municipality may,without notice, suspend <br /> any license pending a hearing on revocation for a period not exceeding thirty days. The notice may be <br /> served upon the licensee by United States Mail addressed to the most recent address of the licensee in <br /> the license application. <br /> Subd. 4. In addition to the above, any violation of this Ordinance by a pawnbroker or any clerk, <br /> agent, or employee of a pawnbroker, or by a pledgor, agent, or assign of a pledgor is a misdemeanor. <br /> Adopted this_day of 2005. <br /> Sandy Peine, Clerk <br /> Mayor <br /> Page 10 <br />
