MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> City Clerk's Office <br /> APRIL 2005 <br /> 1. Budget Issues: No major budget issues or concerns at this time. <br /> 2. Happenings/Proiects during the month: <br /> • 2004 Audit: Nancy Malecha and I are working on the list of recommended <br /> changes in the Auditor's Management Letter. The major item we are <br /> working on now is segregation of accounting duties. (See attached list). <br /> • Job Descriptions—Job descriptions have been slightly revised and are once <br /> again before the Council for review. <br /> • Transient Merchant Ordinance—The new ordinance is now in effect. New <br /> application forms have been drafted. <br /> • Liquor Ordinance—The new ordinance is now in effect. New application <br /> forms have been drafted. <br /> • Pawnbroker Ordinance—This ordinance has been reviewed by the City <br /> �. Attorney. A few recommendations for amendments have been made by the <br /> Attorney. This is before the Council for approval. <br /> • Liquor and Tobacco Licenses—Liquor and tobacco licenses renewals have <br /> been mailed out. <br /> • Worker's Comp Audit—the City is audited yearly. <br /> 3. Meetings attended by the Clerk: <br /> • April 5—Council Meeting <br /> • April 7—Staff Meeting <br /> • April 8—Highway 371 Committee Meeting <br /> • April 11 —Department Budget Meetings <br /> • April 14—Park Board Meeting <br /> • April 26—Meeting with Congressman Oberstar's Representatives, Ken <br /> Hasskamp and Melissa Samuelson regarding Highway 371 funding issues <br /> (Items not listed in the Clerk's report are monthly duties such as water billing,payroll <br /> and reports, depositing and receipting of money, invoicing, Website maintenance,bank <br /> reconciliations, and payment of bills). <br />
