City of Pequot lakes
Monthly water wastewater report
Date: April 26 , 2005
Month: Report for March,2005
Waterplant: All is working good, no problems.
Ponds/blowers: Their still was a slight odor problem this month, but since then has
dimminshed
.. Fire hydrants: All hydrants have been flushed for the spring. No complaints from
the public.
Lift stations: All lift stations have had their bi-annual maintaince completed. All
lifts are in good working order.
Sanitary sewer: Still working on the sewer back ups in march. Waiting to hear
from the insurance adjuster on the David Anderson home on what is going to be paid.
Also waiting to here from Infratec on their recommendations for repair on the line next to
Pestellows and the sewer line on north heath street.
General comments: The water and sewer extension in the industrial park seems to
be on schedule. The vacume machine we were looking at has been turned down by
Crosslake city council, so it looks like this is a dead issue. The spray irrigation site is
ready for discharging of the wastewater effluent. Waiting for a better cover of grasses,
will start discharging around the first part of May. Looking into the replacement of the
fire hydrant in front of Pfeiffer drug, still waiting on several bids. Cost should be
approximately 5,0000.00. This hydrant is in dire need of replacment due to age, lack of
draiirig down properly, which causes problem in the winter months.
