MINUTES <br />CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />SAFETY COMMITTEE <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 2013 <br />8:30 AM <br />PRESENT: Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Mike Loven, Public Works Supervisor; Tom <br />Nelson, Fire Chief; and Dawn Bittner, Safety Secretary. <br />ABSENT: Eric Klang, Police Chief; and Dave Sjoblad, Council Liaison. <br />1. Review of Minutes: <br />A motion was made by Sandy Peine, seconded by Mike Loven, to approve the May 9, <br />2013 Minutes, as corrected. <br />2. Emer�encv Response Plan — Undate: <br />Bittner stated the approved Emergency Response Plan was emailed to employees and is <br />also available on the X-Drive. A hard copy is available in the Clerk's Office as well as <br />the Maintenance Department. <br />3. Mock OSHA Insbection: <br />• Fitness Room Electric Cord — Chief Nelson stated the Fire Department will have <br />this matter taken care of when they have other electrical work completed; <br />• December Inspection Request — MMUA Safety Instructor has agreed to perform a <br />mock OSHA Inspection on December 3 when he is in Pequot Lakes for Safety <br />Training. <br />4. Emplovee Attendance: <br />Bittner informed those present that all employees have completed all mandatory training <br />for their respective occupations. <br />5. MSDS Sheets: <br />Mike Loven and Tom Nelson will provide Staff with current MSDS Sheets in the fall. <br />Staff will contact the Police Department to see if they have any items that we should have <br />MSDS Sheets for. <br />6. Work Place Iniurv Review: <br />It was reported that an employee tripped on a brick on the Police Department steps. The <br />employee injured a shoulder. Safety Committee Action Plan: Permanently remove brick. <br />7. Other Business: <br />There was no further business. <br />
