Monthly Report <br /> to <br /> City Council <br /> Planning and Zoning Department <br /> April, 2005 <br /> Land Use Permits: <br /> The Zoning Office has reviewed two Variance Applications and one shoreline alteration. <br /> The Variance Applications, along with necessary supporting documents,have been <br /> forwarded to the City Planner to be included on the May Planning Commission Agenda. <br /> The fee for these applications is$800.00. <br /> The Zoning Office has received and processed thirteen Land Use Permit Applications,to <br /> date. There were $3,201.00 collected in fees. <br /> Individual Sewage Treatment System (ISTS) Permits: <br /> The Zoning Office has received and processed four Designs in April, to date,for ISTS <br /> installation. Year-to-date,there have been nine Designs processed,resulting in Permit <br /> Fees of$900.00 and Inspection Fees of$900.00. <br /> DRAFT Land Use and Subdivision Ordinance: <br /> The Planning Commission, council Members and members of the general public continue <br /> to meet and discuss the DRAFT Land Use and Subdivision Ordinance. Section V, <br /> Zoning districts and District Provisions, is being discussed, along with land uses in <br /> specific zoning districts. Meeting dates are published in the legal section of the Lake <br /> Country Echo. <br /> Comprehensive Plan Implementation: <br /> ✓ Staff forwarded information collected from the Minnesota Department of <br /> Employment and Economic Development and BLADC regarding financial <br /> assistance,revolving loan funds, and tax increment financing to Community <br /> Growth Institute for the development of an information booklet/fact sheet as a <br /> handout to prospective business owners. <br /> ✓ Staff contacted the Chief of Police regarding his timeframe to complete the update <br /> to the Emergency Operations Plan. <br /> Education: <br /> Staff plans to remind the new Planning Commission Members to register for the <br /> upcoming GTS sponsored Workshops. <br /> Prepared April 26, 2005 <br />
