Open Forum <br /> Kurt Asche was present and requested the City to enforce the no <br /> trespassing signs placed on his property when Minnesota Power and Light <br /> people are on his property. He also requested the City to clear up the <br /> matter of an electrical transformer being placed on his property without an <br /> easement. The Mayor indicated that the City's attorney has advised the <br /> City that this is a civil matter for which the City is not responsible. <br /> 5.1. Reconsider Wilderness Point Conditional Use Permit and Preliminary Plat <br /> Council Member Nagel read the following statement regarding this matter. <br /> "Upon reflection and following a meeting on April 13 with Ann Beaver, <br /> president of the Cullen Lakes Association, Jeff Miller, acting as <br /> representative for Wilderness Point Resort, Dawn Bittner, Pequot Lakes <br /> Zoning Administrator, and Tommy Woog, chairman of the Pequot Lakes <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission, I hereby move to reconsider the <br /> Wilderness Point Resort conditional use permit request for a planned unit <br /> development." <br /> "In place of my vote for denial I would vote to approve said request, <br /> pending acceptance of an additional condition, the condition being that the <br /> placement, design, and construction of the proposed docks and boat slips <br /> meet with the approval of the Minnesota DNR, and thus minimize any <br /> adverse environmental impacts on Middle Cullen Lake." <br /> "It is my belief that the other conditions already agreed upon by the resort <br /> and the planning commission will significantly improve the aesthetic and <br /> environmental quality of the resort and prove to be a net gain for the <br /> citizens already residing on Middle Cullen Lake, and hence for the entire <br /> City of Pequot Lakes. " <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO RECONSIDER THE MOTIONS <br /> TO DENY THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND THE PRELIMINARY <br /> PLAT FOR WILDERNESS RESORT VILLAS. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7- <br /> 0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AS REQUESTED BY WILDERNESS <br /> RESORT VILLAS, LLC. BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> DETERMINED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND CONTINGENT <br />
