Ordinance Number <br /> Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance <br /> An Ordinance Regulating And Licensing Sale And <br /> Consumption Of Nonintoxieating 4' <br /> And Intoxicating Liquor In The City Of Pequot Lakes And <br /> Providing Penalties For Violations Thereof. <br /> Section 1. Provisions of State Law Adopted. <br /> The provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter. 340A, relating to the <br /> definition of terms, licensing, consumption, sales, conditions of bonds and <br /> licensees, hours of sale, and all other matters pertaining to the retail sale, <br /> distribution and consumption of intoxicating liquor shall be adopted and made a <br /> part of this Ordinance as if set out in full. <br /> Section 2. Definitions. <br /> For the purposes of this Ordinance, the following words and phrases shall <br /> have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this Section: <br /> (a) Alcoholic beverages. Distilled, fermented, spirituous, vinous, and malt <br /> beverages containing one half(5)percent or more of ethyl alcohol by weight <br /> which are potable for consumption by human beings. <br /> (b) At retail. Such term means for use or consumption by the purchaser and not for <br /> resale. <br /> (c) Club.Any corporation duly organized under the laws of the state for civic, <br /> fraternal, social or business purposes; or for intellectual improvement, for the promotion <br /> of sports, or a congressionally chartered veterans'organization which shall have more <br /> than fifty(50)members and which shall, for more than a year, have owned, hired or <br /> leased a building or space in a building of such extent and character as may be suitable <br /> and adequate for the reasonable and comfortable accommodation of its members. None <br /> of whose members, officers, agents or employees is paid directly or indirectly any <br /> compensation by way of profit from the distribution or sale of beverages to the members <br /> of the club, or to its guests, beyond the amount of such reasonable salary or wages as may <br /> be fixed and voted by the directors or other overnin 1 . 1111111 1111 <br /> (d) Exclusive liquor store.
