MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> City Clerk's Office <br /> April 5,2005 <br /> 1. Budget Issues: <br /> • The City Engineer bill looks like it will soon be going over budget on the <br /> Highway 371 issue. When we get close to this happening, I will be asking the <br /> Council to authorize use of unbudgeted funds for this purpose out of the <br /> MnDOT fund or the Council Contingency fund. <br /> 2. Happenings/Proiects during the month: <br /> • 2004 Audit/GASB 34—We have spent much time on the 2004 audit. We have <br /> worked closely with the auditors during this process. The audit will be <br /> presented to the Council on April 5. <br /> • Transient Merchant Ordinance—Met with Justin, Chris, and Chief Forsberg <br /> to review Ordinance. Redrafted after meeting and sent to attorney for <br /> review. I have completed working with the Attorney on this ordinance and a <br /> draft will be before the Council in April. <br /> • Liquor Ordinance-Met with Attorney to work on the Liquor Ordinance. <br /> The ordinance is completed and will be before the council in April. <br /> • Road Agreements—Road Agreements have been redrafted by the Attorney. <br /> Mike has given the agreements to the other cities for review. Once we receive <br /> them back from the other cities, they will be before the Council for approval. <br /> • Spray Irrigation Field Lease—The Attorney redrafted this lease. This lease <br /> will be before the Council in April. <br /> • Fiscal Policies and Procedures -The Clerk's office has worked together with <br /> the Auditor to put together Fiscal Policies and Procedures for the City. These <br /> procedures will be before the Council for approval in April. <br /> • Drug and Alcohol Policies—I have redrafted two drug and alcohol policies; <br /> one for commercial drivers and one for city employees. These policies are <br /> before the Attorney for review at this time. <br />
