MEMORANDUM TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FROM: MIKE LOVEN DATE: APRIL 5, 2005 SUBJECT: COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS 9.1. CITY CEMETERY PROPERTY The trees on the future City cemetery property were slated for use along Highway 371. I will be making a proposal to the Council regarding use of the trees and future development of the cemetery. 9.2. SUMMER HELP The maintenance department would like to rehire Ray Wolkenhauer for the summer season. He would work from May 1St to September 30th which is a 22 week timeframe. We would have Ray work approximately 16 hours per week at$9.25 per hour. 9.3. ROAD REVIEW In the past the Street Department has offered to bring the Council Members on a road- review mission. Is this something the Council still wants to do? 9.4. REQUEST TO PURCHASE TRACTOR MOWER FOR DITCHES The Maintenance Department is requesting authorization to purchase a tractor/mower for use in ditches. The cost would be up to $7,000. We currently sub this work out. We have not been satisfied with the sub work as it is usually not done the way we request nor is it done in a timely manner. This is a budgeted item for 2005. We would like Council authorization to begin the process to look for a tractor/mower.
