Monthly Report <br /> `- to <br /> City Council <br /> Planning and Zoning Department <br /> March, 2005 <br /> Land Use Permits: <br /> The Zoning Office has reviewed one Conditional Use Permit application and one Metes <br /> and Bounds Subdivision application,to date. These applications, along with necessary <br /> supporting documents, have been forwarded to the City Planner to be included on the <br /> April Planning Commission Agenda. The fee for these applications is$450.00. <br /> The Zoning Office has received and processed seven Land Use Permit applications,to <br /> date, including 2 dated February 28 which were not included in the February Report. <br /> There were $4,303.15 collected in fees. <br /> DRAFT Land Use and Subdivision Ordinance: <br /> The Planning Commission, Council Members and members of the general public <br /> continue to meet and discuss the DRAFT Land Use and Subdivision Ordinance. Section <br /> V,Zoning Districts and District Provisions, was discussed. Discussion will continue on <br /> April 17 at a Work Session and April 24 at the Regular Planning Commission meeting. <br /> Meeting dates are published in the legal section of the Lake Country Echo. <br /> Comprehensive Plan Implementation: <br /> Staff received an estimate on the cost for additional bike racks along the Paul Bunyan <br /> Trail on the north side of County Road 11. Staff anticipates a meeting in the near future <br /> with Dan Frank of the Initiative Foundation regarding possible grants available to help <br /> defray the cost of the bike racks. <br /> Staff has met with Kevin Mealhouse, Building Code Representative of the Minnesota <br /> Dept. of Administration, regarding the process to re-institute the State Building Code. <br /> Staff will be asking the City Council to schedule a Workshop to discuss this with Mr. <br /> Mealhouse. (Included in your Packet) <br /> Education: <br /> Janet Wedan, Administrative Assistant in the Clerk's Office, is requesting permission to <br /> attend an Individual Sewage Treatment System Continuing Ed class on June 15 & 16 in <br /> Brainerd. Twelve hours of continuing ed is required to maintain her Inspector license. <br /> Prepared March 29, 2005 <br />
