Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br /> Report to City Council <br /> March 1St, 2005 <br /> For the month of February the Department logged approximately 175 to 200 ICRs. A few of the <br /> Officers also spent approximately 12 hrs. in Court down in Brainerd during the month. <br /> The Department had 3 Officers out with the flu during the month. <br /> Repairs were done on the 2002 Ford squad; including a new fuel pump& control arms. Updates <br /> were made on emergency lights and radios. A new in-squad camera was just installed this week <br /> on the white squad. <br /> Training/Activities: <br /> February 10th: The entire Department spent the day in mandatory training. Training consisted of <br /> classroom work on Blood born Pathogens, Hazmat, Use of Force and Use of <br /> Deadly Force. The classroom work was conducted here in the Police Department <br /> Conference room. After the classroom work,the class moved to the High School <br /> wrestling room where the Instructor put the entire Department through Physical <br /> Training as well. <br /> February 17th: The entire Department went through mandatory Cold Weather,Night Shoot& <br /> Combat Shoot Qualifications. (And yes, Chief Forsberg was low man on the <br /> totem poleāran out of ammo.) <br /> All of the trainings conducted in February were planned, organized and implemented by Deputy <br /> Chief John Ryan. <br /> March 8 - 9th: Chief Forsberg will be attending a 2 day schooling down in the Twin Cities; <br /> regarding Effective Management Procedures for Roadway Emergencies. <br /> March 291h: Janet Wedan will be attending a Data Practices in Law Enforcement class at the <br /> Brainerd Police Department. <br /> April 11-14th: Chief's Conference in St. Cloud. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> 7771) <br /> Mark FoFer <br /> Chief of Police <br />
