Adopted: <br /> City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Job Description <br /> Job Title: Water/Wastewater Operator <br /> Department: Water and Sewer <br /> Supervisor: Water/Wastewater Superintendent <br /> Positions Supervised: None <br /> Position Summary: <br /> Works under the direction of the Water/Wastewater Superintendent in performing a <br /> variety of tasks including operation of the City's sanitary sewer system, municipal water <br /> system,pond and irrigation system, mowing and general maintenance. <br /> Job Duties: <br /> 1. Performs ongoing maintenance activities. <br /> A. Performs preventative maintenance for sewer ponds, lift stations, sewer <br /> lines, city wells,pumps, control panels, water lines, machinery and <br /> equipment. <br /> B. Installs service connections for city sanitary sewer and municipal water. <br /> C. Reads water meters and assists in the installation and maintenance of <br /> water meters. <br /> D. Maintains the grounds and buildings of the water treatment plant, sewer <br /> ponds, lift stations and well houses. <br /> E. Follows the regulations of the Confined Space Entry Policy and the <br /> AWAIR program. <br /> 2. Performs public relations and communications activities. <br /> A. Receives and responds to inquiries and complaints from the public. <br /> B.
