I have represented the City since February 2001. You have a very professional and competent staff and I would very much like to continue with our current working relationship. During my thirty-three years in the profession, I have developed a highly specialized law practice. The vast majority of my practice involves representation of local governmental units. The balance of my work is in the fields of zoning and land use. Because of my concentration in the field of municipal law, I am very active in the Minnesota City Attorney Association and served as its President from 1999 through 2002. I have been awarded an AV rating for legal ability and general ethical standards by Martindale Hubbell, an independent attorney rating service. This is the highest rating that an attorney can achieve and is awarded based on the confidential opinions of other attorneys practicing in the same areas of the law. I am also a former President of the Minnesota Council of School Attorneys. My time will continue to be billed at the rate of $130.00 per hour, plus reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. (My standard rate is presently $150.00 per hour.) Itemized statements will be mailed on approximately the first day of each month for services provided during the previous month. A representative list of my current clients is attached for your information.
