Pequot Lakes Library Regular Meeting December 14,2004 Present: Nancy Adams,Claire Nagel, Dave Sjoblad, Shari Wilson,Lydia Loven, Dave Anderson Absent: Sue Lenzen Guest: Cathy Malecha Minutes of the November 16,2004 meeting were approved as read. Treasurer's Report: Dave Anderson submitted the report. As of 12/14/2004,the account has a balance of $22,959.61. A motion was made by Nancy Adams to transfer $7000.00 from this account into the Vangard Account to were able to collect interest on this money. The motion was seconded by Lydia Loven,all ayes,motion passed. The treasurer's report was approved as read. Committee Reports: Volunteer Chairman: Nancy reported on the meeting held with volunteers December 6,2004. Another meeting is being Planned to accommodate those who where unable to attend. Claire Nagel will do reports for Nancy while she is gone. Children's Programs: Lydia presented an idea for a book swap as an upcoming event for the children's library. Numbers for Saturday's story hour are small. Lydia will advertise in PL Elementary's News a Notes. adult artists booked up until September 2005. Artists: Shari reported that we have Will continue to recruit for children's library. Publicity: Claire will submit a recap of total volunteer,patrons,etc. for the half- year in upcoming article. Donations: Cathy presented donations received during previous month. She also reported that Jerry Akerson accepted the invitation to join the Library Board to replace the seat vacated by Sue Lenzen. He will begin his term at the January 2005 meeting. Election of Officers: Dave Sjoblad opened up the floor for nominations for President of the Pequot Lakes Library for the 2005 calendar year. Claire Nagel made motiion to nominate Nancy Adams for President, Lydia Loven,seconded ayes,motion Dave Sjoblad opened up the floor for nominations for Vice President of the Pequot Lakes Library for the 2005 calendar year. Dave 5 joblod made a motion to nominate Lydia Loven, Claire Nagel seconded, all ayes,motion passed. Dave Sjoblad opened up the floor for nominations for Secretary to the Pequot Lakes Library for the 2005 calendar year. Lydia Loven made a motion to nominate Shari Wilson, Claire Nagel seconded the motion, all ayes, motion passed. Dave Sjoblad opened up the floor for nominations for Treasurer for the Pequot Lakes Library for the 2005 calendar year. Lydia Loven made a motion to nominate Dave Anderson, Claire Nagel seconded, all ayes,motion passed.
