City Council Minutes <br /> January 4, 2005 <br /> Page 3 <br /> --------------------------- <br /> 7.2. Proposal for Planning Services in 2005 <br /> Chuck Marohn presented the Council with a proposal for planning services <br /> in 2005. The proposal entailed $14,800 for planning services and $13,500 <br /> for the Downtown Master Plan. The Council discussed the timing of the <br /> Highway 371 project and the need for a downtown plan. Council Member <br /> Ryan suggested that the downtown plan be discussed in more detail at a <br /> later time. The City Clerk noted that no other proposals for planning were <br /> received. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ACCEPT THE <br /> COMMUNITY GROWTH INSTITUTE PROPOSAL FOR CITY PLANNING <br /> SERVICES FOR 2005 AT $14,800 AND SERVICES FOR THE <br /> DOWNTOWN PLAN AT $13,500. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AMEND THE MOTION TO <br /> REMOVE THE DOWNTOWN PLAN FROM THE PROPOSAL. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> THE AMENDMENT PASSED 7-0. <br /> THE MOTION AS AMENDED PASSED 7-0. <br /> 8. Police Chief Report <br /> Report presented by Chief Forsberg. <br /> 9. Water/Wastewater Supervisor's Report <br /> Report presented by Supervisor Brett Twardy. <br /> 10. Maintenance Supervisor's Report <br /> No report presented. <br /> 11. Fire Chief's Report <br /> Chief Nelson informed the Council of Kelly Larson's resignation. He <br /> requested Council permission'to hire Natasha Carlson. <br />
