She noted that she and her husband have owned the property for <br /> over 30 years. There are a lot of wild animals on the property and it is a <br /> beautiful piece of land. <br /> Jack Schmidt— 31197 Pine Street <br /> Mr. Schmidt indicated that a lot of hard work has been done on this project <br /> and thanked the City Council and the Committees that have worked on the <br /> project over the past several years. <br /> Crain Swenson — Denali Company <br /> Requested the City Council to consider routing the highway west of the <br /> City. <br /> Shirlyn Bently— 27509 County Road 109, Pequot Lakes <br /> Ms. Bently Indicated that she lived in New York Mills which had a highway <br /> bypass the City. She noted that this did not negatively affect the City. She <br /> noted that Perham is another City that was bypassed by a highway. She <br /> noted that both New York Mills and Perham are both vital cities. <br /> George Johnson —30960 Government Drive <br /> Mr. Johnson indicated that moving Highway 371 east of town will severely <br /> impact the downtown area. He also indicated that the information <br /> presented in the resolution was incorrect. <br /> Glenda Schmidt—31179 Pine Street <br /> Mrs. Schmidt indicated that real estate is slow all over the United States <br /> due to the economy, not because of Highway 371. <br /> David Kennedy— 27142 Loon Point, Pequot Lakes <br /> He noted that his rural acreage that he grew up on will be split by the <br /> alternate route. He also noted that the City needs participation of the <br /> business community. <br />
