5. Performance Reviews
Miscellaneous
1. Security Features
• Software Systems That Have Been Researched
1. Banyon Data Systems - $12,555
2. Civic Systems - $26,700
3. ACS Springbook- $45,853
The proposal information for each of these vendors is attached.
• Recommendation
Following review of the above software vendors, we narrowed down the choice to
Banyon and Civic Systems. We felt that ACS was more sophisticated and costly than the
City needed at this time.
We are recommending that the Council authorize the Clerk's office to purchase the
software from Civic Systems. The total cost of the components that we are requesting to
purchase, including conversion and training is $26,700.
Funding for the software is allocated in the 2007 budget. Because this software will allow
us to process administrative fines, the Community Policing budget will allocate $7,500
from the 2006 budget.
Council Action Requested:
Council motion authorizing the purchase of Accounting Software from Civic Systems for
$26,700 to be purchased in 2007.
Council motion authorizing $7,500 to be transferred from the 2006 Community Policing
budget to the Clerk's Budget with the funds to be designated to be spent in 2007.
