PEQUOT LAKES COMMUNNYLIBRARY <br /> MINUTES OF THE BOARD MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 21, 2006 <br /> The meeting was called to order by President Nancy Adams. All board members were <br /> present. In addition, Mary Pfeiffer represented the City Council. <br /> Ann Hutchings moved, Dave Anderson seconded,that the minutes of the October 17, <br /> 2006,meeting be accepted. Motion carried. <br /> Dave Anderson gave the Treasurer's Report: We currently have$50,436.99 in CD's <br /> marked Endowment;we have $10,325.08 in a CD marked"Rainy Day Fund". We have <br /> $2,050.70 in the savings account and$15,577.08 in the checking account for a total of <br /> $78,389.85. John Longnecker moved, and Lydia Loven seconded,that Dave Anderson <br /> should renew all CD's when they come due until further notice. Motion carried. Ann <br /> Hutching moved, and Claire Nagel seconded,that$10,000 should be moved from the <br /> checking account into a CD to be labeled Building/Expansion Fund. This is one year <br /> earlier than was voted on at the October,2006,meeting. Motion carried. Sam Hennies <br /> moved, and Nancy Adams seconded, to accept the Treasurer's Report. <br /> Committee Reports: <br /> Volunteers are going along well with many picking up extra time slots due to travel by <br /> some volunteers. Programs will be put in place for the winter. Claire Nagel, as always, <br /> is looking for information for her column. Fundraising is really completed until next <br /> year. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Ann Hutchings reported that the program of working with other organizations as <br /> originally thought would be much more complicated than we are able to handle. She will <br /> bring it back up in April when we can try to find a better way for our local area. The <br /> Shelving Unit for the Children's Room has been ordered and should arrive in January. <br /> Ann Hutchings will work on a display for the Holidays. We will hold Judy Kuusisto, an <br /> illustrator,until perhaps the Summer Reading Program. John Longnecker will try to <br /> work on the Web Page prior to leaving for Texas. <br /> New Business: <br /> We will add the Echo to our Bring Me A Book program and Ann Hutchings will be the <br /> volunteer for that program. Nancy Adams moved, and Claire Nagel seconded,to <br /> purchase the quilt wall hanging of chickens for the Children's Room. Motion carried. <br /> Lydia Loven moved to adjourn. <br /> REMINDER; The next meeting will be Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> PLEASE NOTE THE DIFFERENT DATE AND DIFFERENT TIME. <br />
