I have requested that all reviews be completed and turned in to me by the end of
November.
FEDERAL EXCISE FUEL TAX
At the August budget workshop,Nancy Malecha was asked to research the federal excise
tax exemption on gasoline and diesel fuel purchased for the exclusive use of the City.
Here are her findings:
• SuperAmerica files a Federal Excise Tax Exemption Certificate on a quarterly
basis for the City. The savings for a 12 month period is $876.83
• Oasis Express has never filed a Federal Excise Tax Exemption Certificate for the
City.
