Certification Rules and Exam <br /> SYSTEM AND FACILITY CLASSIFICATION <br /> (Revision Proposed for Winter 1996) <br /> In accordance with iota Laws of 1971,Chapter 928 Nnnesota Statute,Section 115.71, <br /> persons in direct responsible charge of a water supply system must obtain a certificate from the <br /> water and wastewater operators advisory council in a class equal to or higher than the class of his <br /> or her system or facility. <br /> The classification of all public water supply systems is based on the degree of hazard to the <br /> public health,togetim with the type of plant and the population affected. The classification is <br /> based on the following rating values: <br /> ITEM POINTS <br /> A. Water Supply Source <br /> Q Groundwater <br /> 2. Surface water 15 <br /> B.
