Sandy Peme, City Clerk 9?� <br /> 4638 County Road 11 P @, 06 <br /> Pequot Lakes,MN 56472 <br /> RE: Trailside Estates <br /> Honorable Mayor and Council: <br /> The City of Pequot Lakes is currently developing a"Developer's Agreement"with Corky <br /> Smith to consider expansion of municipal road, sanitary sewer, and water infrastructure <br /> to serve the Trailside Estates project.As both parties are aware,Landecker&Associates, <br /> Inc. also supplies surveying and engineering services to Mr. Smith.We herein propose to <br /> provide engineering services during the construction phase of this project for the City of <br /> Pequot Lakes, as our direct client. <br /> Our proposed construction observation services will include"full-time"observations of <br /> proposed municipal underground utilities and"periodic observations"of roadway and <br /> surface visual portions. Our proposal assumes about 210 hours of total observation <br /> services over an estimated 45 day construction period. We will coordinate with City staff <br /> and your City Engineer for additional construction observations, as they so determine. <br /> After construction completion,we will prepare record plans for the City and certify to <br /> you that the municipal construction was completed in substantial conformance with the <br /> enclosed plans and specifications dated October 4, 2006(or such subsequently revised <br /> plans and specifications approved by your City Engineer).We estimate the total cost of <br /> Landecker&Associates,Inc. construction phase engineering services to be$19,300.00. <br /> Specifically,we agree to provide the following services: <br /> • Arranging for and paying for a material testing(backfill compaction,concrete <br /> cylinders, aggregate base gradation,bituminous cores if the contractor is not <br /> required, etc.) firm acceptable to the City/City Engineer; <br /> • Arranging for/preparing an agenda/conducting/distributing minutes for a pre- <br /> construction meeting; <br /> • Review of shop drawings and distribution; <br /> • Daily construction observation; submittal of weekly construction reports to the <br /> City/City Engineer and the developer; <br />
