2. Regular Full Time Employee: An employee who works an annual <br /> `- average of 2080 hours per year. A regular full time employee is an employee <br /> who is hired for the usual activities of the operation of the City. <br /> 3. Regular Part-Time Employee: Employees who perform a service on a <br /> regular part-time basis or are available to assist in work load peaks. A <br /> regular part-time employee is an employee who works 1040 or more hours <br /> per year, but less than 2080 hours per year. A regular part-time employee <br /> shall be eligible to receive all benefits offered to full time employees on a <br /> pro-rated basis and subject to specific limitations stated in this policy <br /> manual. <br /> 4. Limited Part-Time Employee: Employees who perform a service on a <br /> limited part-time basis or are available to assist in work load peaks. A <br /> limited part-time employee is an employee who works less than 1040 hours <br /> per year. A limited part-time employee shall not be eligible to receive non- <br /> statutory benefits offered to full time employees. <br /> 5. Temporary Employee: An employee who is engaged for a specific <br /> project, or a limited time period, not to exceed nine (9) months with the <br /> understanding that their employment is to terminate upon completion of the <br /> project or at the end of a specified period of time. Such employees shall be <br /> paid at a rate agreed upon by the employee and the City Council and shall <br /> not be eligible to receive non-statutory benefits offered to full time <br /> employees. Temporary employees are excluded from PERA if employed for <br /> six months or less. <br /> 6. Sworn Law Enforcement Officers: Sworn Law Enforcement Officers <br /> subject to the provisions of Pequot Lakes Police Department Manual shall be <br /> subject to the provisions of this policy manual, unless this policy specifically <br /> indicates that said officers are subject to certain provisions of the Pequot <br /> Lakes Police Department Manual or in cases where the Pequot Lakes Police <br /> Department Manual is more specific. <br /> L7F ghters: Volunteer Fire Fighters subject to the provisions of <br /> Volunteer Fire Department Organizational Statement shall be provisions of this policy manual, unless this policy specifically said fire fighters are subject to certain provisions of the Pequot eer Fire Department Organizational Statement or in cases <br /> 2 <br />
