CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> NOTICE OF FILING FOR COUNCIL AND MAYOR <br /> The following offices will be open for filing in the City of <br /> Pequot Lakes: <br /> Mayor — 2-year term <br /> Council Member — 4-Year Term <br /> Filing opens on August 29, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. <br /> Filing closes on September 12, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> To file for one of the above offices, a candidate must be <br /> eligible to vote, will be 21 years old on assuming office, <br /> and will have been a resident of the City for 30 days before <br /> the election, and has no other affidavit on file as a <br /> candidate for any office at the same primary or next general <br /> election (with the exception of a candidate for soil and <br /> water conservation district supervisor). <br /> Affidavits of candidacy are available at Pequot Lakes City <br /> Hall — 4638 County Road 11, Pequot Lakes, Minnesota <br /> from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (with the exception of <br /> September 7 — office hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 <br /> p.m.).
