AGENDA ITEM #11 .2 and 11 .3
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: September 5, 2006
Subject: Confined Spaces Program and Right-to-Know
Program
Report: The City's safety program has been moving
ahead very nicely. The City has established a safety
committee that meets once a month. City staff also has
monthly safety training that is done jointly with other
surrounding cities. Last month all employees were invited
to participate in CPR and First Aid Training. We also had a
hearing test for all employees who wanted to participate.
At the last Safety Committee meeting, the safety committee
completed the confined spaces policy and the right-to-know
policy. The Committee would like the Council to formally
adopt these two policies.
Council Action Requested: Council motion adopting
attached policies.
