MONTHLY STAFF REPORT
City Clerk's Office
April 2006
Meetings
• April 4—Council Worksession and Regular Council Meeting
• April 20 - Eggs and Issues Chamber/Legislative Meeting
• April 25 —PLADO Meeting
• April 26—Bid Opening for 2006 Street Projects
I took the following days off in April: April 5, 10-13, and 27-28.
Projects/Issues
■ PERSONNEL POLICY
Working with Ray Niemann in the revision of our Personnel Policy. The revised policy is
in draft form and has been given to Department Heads for review. We hope to have it to
the Council in June.
■ LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX
At this point, it looks like the local option sales tax for Pequot Lakes did not pass
legislative approval at the Senate Level. However, there has been legislation introduced
that will give Pequot Lakes and Nisswa each 2.5 million dollars for the Highway 371
project. This did pass at the Senate level, but I'm not sure where it is at the House level.
■ AUDIT
We are finalizing the audit. The audit will be presented to the Council at the June
meeting.
■ LIQUOR AND TOBACCO LICENSES
Liquor and tobacco license renewals have been mailed to existing license holders.
