Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br /> Report to City Council <br /> April 26, 2006 <br /> As of today, for the month of April the Department has logged over 150 ICRs, many with multiple <br /> offences. Officers Hogan and Gartner have also spent a few days at court in Brainerd. <br /> The old department squad cars have all been sold and picked up by the winning bidder. The sale was <br /> very successful with the final results being: <br /> 1996 Chevy Tahoe sold for $ 3,450.00 <br /> 1998 Crown Victoria sold for $ 2,050.50 <br /> 2000 Chevy Impala sold for $ 2,765.00 <br /> 2003 Crown Victoria sold for $ 3,477.00 <br /> TOTAL $11,742.50 <br /> Equipment: <br /> The Harley Police Motorcycle has been delivered to the department and put into service. Officer <br /> Hogan has received several great comments out in the community on the bike already, as well as a few <br /> surprised motorists that were not obeying traffic laws. <br /> Activities: <br /> The Department has started working on organizing the Reserves Program. Retired Officer, Ray Maier <br /> has agreed to be the Program Coordinator. He has been working on getting information about the <br /> program out to the businesses in the community. <br /> We are working to be prepared for the annual high volume influx of seasonal/temporary residents to <br /> our area, starting with the upcoming fishing opener,which is only 2 weeks away. <br /> Training: <br /> Apr 13`h: Officer Gartner and K9 Shadow attended USPCA K9 trials for Certification. They <br /> passed with a score of 192 out of 200. <br /> Apr 24`h-27`h: Chief Braam attended the Annual Minnesota Police Chief's Conference. <br /> Significant Case Files: <br /> • Officers Gartner and Hogan recently worked on a traffic stop where they arrested an individual <br /> and confiscated cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia and cited another passenger with <br /> additional paraphernalia charges. <br /> • The whole department continues to work on a number of burglary cases from both the Pequot <br /> Lakes and Jenkins areas. <br /> Respect lly Submitted, <br /> Je Braam <br /> Chief <br /> 1 <br />
