� <br />City of <br />Pequot <br />Lakes - <br />Date: <br />AGENDA ITEM #11.6 <br />REPORT TO <br />CITY C OUNCIL <br />November 13, 2012 <br />Subiect: Special Event Permit <br />Report: Attached is a Special Event Permit Application <br />that the Clerk's Office has drafted for Council review. The <br />-- main purpose of having a process to monitor special events <br />is to eliminate liabilities arising from the events and to <br />minimize risk to the City, to participants and non- <br />participating citizens. <br />The attached permitting process has been reviewed by the <br />League of Minnesota Cities, the City Attorney, and our <br />City Insurance Agent. <br />The one issue that the Council should consider is whether it <br />wants to be the authority to grant approval for each and <br />every event. <br />Council Action Requested: <br />� <br />
