AGENDA ITEM #5.4 <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: May 2, 2006 <br /> Subiect: Bobber Tower and Land Lease — Lisa Paxton will <br /> be present to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> Report: The Chamber is requesting to cancel the lease <br /> agreement between the City and the Chamber in regard to <br /> the bobber tower, bobber tower property and buildings on <br /> the property. <br /> The main reason for breaking the lease is because the <br /> building "Smoky Hollow" is now without a tenant and it <br /> has been difficult to keep tenants in the building. The <br /> Chamber is asking that the building and site be reverted to <br /> the City. They are agreeing to support the future <br /> maintenance of the bobber through special fundraising <br /> activities with other organizations in the community and <br /> want to cancel the monthly $150 payment to the City for <br /> the demolition of the bobber tower. <br /> The issues that need to be discussed include: <br />
