MONTHLY STAFF REPORT City Clerk's Office January 2006 Meetings ■ January 3 —Regular City Council Meeting ■ January 3 —Meeting With MnDOT Officials and City Staff—HWY 371 ■ January 9—Meeting in Baxter regarding sales tax ■ January 10—Meeting with Attorney regarding Anderson Brothers ■ January 11 — Special Council Meeting—Anderson Brothers ■ January 12—Park Board Meeting ■ January 17—Ray Niemann—Personnel Policy/Performance Reviews ■ January 18 —Meeting with USDA regarding possible funding options ■ January 19—OSHA Training in St. Cloud all day ■ January 23 —Meeting with Mark Jurchen regarding insurance matters ■ January 25 —PLADO Meeting ■ January 25 —Local Option Sale Tax—Baxter City Hall ■ January 25 —Meeting regarding full time city planner-planner committee ■ January 25 —Meeting with Community Growth and Dawn to coordinate issues ■ January 26—Meeting with Ray Niemann—Personnel Policy ■ January 26—Meeting with Melissa Samuelson and Ken Hasskamp regarding possible funding options for projects `- Projects/Issues • SAFETY TRAINING/PROGRAM ■ Four communities will be joining the City of Pequot Lakes in a venture to provide safety programs for our cities at a reduced cost. This program is spearheaded by the City of Pequot Lakes. The cities joining us are Nisswa, East Gull Lake, Lakeshore, and Breezy Point. • CABLE TV ■ As the secretary/treasurer for the Heartland Cable Commission, I worked with the Executive Board to review grant requests and distribute grant funds. The City of Pequot has received$5,000. As the Council indicated, the use of these funds will be decided at a later date. • MAINTENANCE POSITION ■ Completed the interview process for the Maintenance position. The City received 132 applications. Letters were sent to the 127 applicants that did not receive an interview. An interview team interviewed 5 applicants. • LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX
