REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: November 26, 2007 <br /> Subiect: Consider Hiring a Water/Wastewater Supervisor <br /> Report: The interview process for the Water/Wastewater <br /> Supervisor is complete. The interview committee is recommending <br /> that the Council hire Gary Giltner. Gary has spent over 15 years <br /> working for the City of Litchfield as a wastewater plant operator. <br /> He has also worked for People Service as a plant operator in the <br /> cities of Harmony, Canton, and Barnesville. Chief Braam has <br /> conducted a MN Driver's License Check, a State and Federal <br /> Criminal History Check as well as a MN BCA Criminal History <br /> Check. Chief Braam has also conducted an extensive reference. <br /> The results of all of the checks were very positive. <br /> Council Action Requested: <br /> The committee is recommending that the Council hire Gary Giltner <br /> as the City's Water/Wastewater Supervisor at Step 6 of the pay <br /> plan ($20.08) with a cost of living increase on January 1, 2008, and <br /> a step increase in six months contingent on a successful <br /> performance review. The committee is also recommending that <br /> Gary begin employment with two weeks vacation. <br />
