The Planning Commission is forwarding the following recommendation for your consideration. ITEM: Policy for Determining Fee and Calculations Park Dedication, City of Pequot Lakes.The City has been working to amend the park dedication requirements of the Ordinance. The Ordinance contains specific land dedication requirements and cash-in-lieu-of-land fee requirements. Rather than determine these requirements arbitrarily, the Planning Commission has developed a policy that details how these requirements are calculated. RECOMMENDATION: THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT THE FOLLOWING POLICY REGARDING THE DETERMINATION OF PARK DEDICATION LAND AND FEE REQUIREMENTS: POLICY FOR DETERMINING PARK DEDICATION LAND&FEE REQUIREMENTS The following policy has been approved by the City Council on to serve as the basis for determining the park dedication requirements in new subdivisions, as outlined in Section 9.io of the Pequot Lakes Land Use Ordinance. Section 1. Purpose and Intent. The purpose and intent of this policy is to establish a procedure for determining and updating the park dedication requirements as contained in Section 9.10 of the City of Pequot Lakes Land Use Ordinance. Section 2. Land Dedication Formula.
