The Breezy fest went OK again this year. Attendance was down slightly from last year.
<br /> We need to finish the sound system and television cables in our training room.
<br /> Our present digital camera eats batteries and we could use a better one. A motion was
<br /> made by Mike Peterson to purchase the recommended one for approximately$160.00,
<br /> second by Wendt, motion passed.
<br /> Rickard discussed our needs for better tools. Items needed are a bigger vise, a circular
<br /> saw, cordless drill, and various hand tools. A tool committee was discussed to make
<br /> decisions on what to purchase. A number of about$800.00 was discussed to complete our
<br /> needs. The tool room will be locked after we purchase these tools. Also we need to
<br /> organize our keys and have them secured better.
<br /> The next Cuyuna Range meeting will be at Pillager on September 20'' at 7 pm. Rickard,
<br /> Cerise, Nelson, and Szymanski were interested in going to this meeting.
<br /> The open house at the fire station for fire prevention week was discussed. It was decided
<br /> to host this again this year. Tasha was appointed chair person for the open house.
<br /> Fire prevention at the elementary school was scheduled for Tuesday, October 9`". The
<br /> time and class schedules will be announced. Interested fire fighters were Nelson, Peterson
<br /> I and II, Wendt, Szymanski, Mike Peterson, Bridge, Nordby, Casanova, Oaks, Warner,
<br /> Hayes, Rickard, Putnam, Selter, Tasha Carlson, and Varilek.
<br /> Picture retakes are scheduled for Sunday, the 9h at 9 am. Chris Carlson needs his picture
<br /> taken.
<br /> A public relations photo session to announce the Narveson $10,000 donation is scheduled
<br /> for Saturday, the 8t' at 9 am at the fire station. Wear your blue shirts.
<br /> New fire gear lockers have been ordered for the Breezy station. A new air supply system
<br /> for Rescue 1 was discussed. A large air supply tank and regulator assembly for this unit
<br /> has an estimated cost of about $1800.00. This will be discussed more at the next Officer's
<br /> meeting. There was also discussion on purchasing a stokes basket from funds from the
<br /> Narveson donation.
