Police City of Pequot City Hall <br /> 218-568-8111 Lakes 218-568-5222 <br /> Fax 218-568-5647 _ Fax 218-568-5860 <br /> 1 d@ uotlak - - 4638 County Road 11 <br /> p p p e q es-mn. ov g Pequot Lakes,MN 56472 cityhall @pequotlakes-mn.gov <br /> www.pequotlakes-mn.gov <br /> CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> FOR <br /> RED RIBBON WEEK IN THE PEQUOT LAKES AREA <br /> WHEREAS, Natasha Gallett is a member of the Black Bear 4-H Club from this area; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Black Bear 4-H Club has been serving the area for over ten years; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Black Bear 4-H Club has partnered with Operation ARMMS <br /> (Addressing, Responding, Managing Meth and other Substances) formerly <br /> the Crow Wing Meth Coalition, to help promote and sponsor Red Ribbon <br /> Week, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign to promote drug awareness; <br /> specifically Meth; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Red Ribbon Week is October 22-26, 2007 and there will be events to <br /> promote drug awareness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the main event will be a Community forum held on Thursday, October 25, <br /> 2007, at the Heritage Church in Baxter, MN; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Red Ribbon Week will be a way to help parents and kids learn the <br /> dangers of drugs and know how to handle peer pressure. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the City of Pequot Lakes proclaims <br /> the week of October 22nd through October 26th, 2007 as Red Ribbon Week <br /> in the Pequot Lakes area. <br /> Passed by the Pequot Lakes City Council this 16th day of October, 2007 <br /> Cathy Malecha,Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br />
