I <br /> I <br /> PEQUOT LAKES FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 1, 2007 MEETING <br /> The monthly meeting of the PLFD was called to order by Chief Nelson, 27 members <br /> were present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved by a motion by <br /> Bridge, second by Evenson, motion passed. <br /> Truck checks were discussed. Engine 1 was good. Engine 2 has an air gauge leaking <br /> under the dash and a leaking hydrant fill hose. Engine 3 brake lights do not work. Tanker <br /> 1 and tanker 2 are good. Tanker 3 is missing a 4"to 5" storz adapter. The missing fitting <br /> is on Engine 1. Grass truck 1 left turn signal does not work. Grass rig 2 needs an oil <br /> change. Rescue 1 and 2 are good. The ATV is good. Water tender 1 is good and the gas <br /> valve is shut off on the pump and the generator. The hose bed tarp cover foe Engine 2 has <br /> not been repaired yet. <br /> The financial report lists our checking balance at $8191.94 and the scholarship fund <br /> balance at $1067.47. The fire fund balance is approximately $42,151.00. <br /> Narveson Management is about ready to donate some money to us and the First <br /> Responders. <br /> Tasha applied for a grant from Crow Wing Power for $1000.00 for radios. <br /> Safety issues for tonight were to drink lots of liquids on these hot summer days to stay <br /> cool and hydrated. <br /> About 10 fire fighters have signed up for Palisade. They plan to meet for breakfast at <br /> 7:00 am. <br /> The Fire Board approved our request to increase our fire bill rate from $350.00 for the <br /> first hour to $500.00. <br /> The August 19'h training plan was discussed. It will start at 8:00 am. Each department <br /> ' will pay $450.00 for training. Eagle View elementary school will be the headquarters. <br /> There will be the propane tank trailer at Eagle View, a propane car burn at station 2, <br /> pump class at Sibley Lake or at Dellwood Acres, and auto extrication and the flash over <br /> trailer at station 1. Each department will be dispatched to classes just like they are paged <br /> to a call. Everyone will get certificates for the classes. There will be no training on <br /> Wednesday the 15a. <br /> The annual Breezy fest will be August 25h at station 2 starting at 10:00. They want us to <br /> cook again. <br /> There will be an Officer's meeting on Wednesday the 15th at 7:00 pm. <br />
