AGENDA ITEM #11 .3
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: July 3, 2007
Subject: 911 Signs
Report: The Council authorized the installation of 911
signs throughout the City. During the 2005 budget process
the Council indicated that the 911 sign installation should
- take place during a three year period, 2006 — 2008. Due to
the street project bids coming in lower than expected, there
are funds available in the roads and streets capital outlay
budget. The Maintenance Department is requesting the
Council to authorize the funds to install the balance of the
911 signs due in 2007 which would eliminate the need to
budget for this expenditure in 2008. The amount of money
needed is approximately $3,500.
Council Action Requested: Council motion authorizing
the installation of the balance of the 911 signs in 2007 with
funding to come from the 2007 roads and streets capital
outlay account.
