Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br /> Report to the City Council <br /> May 31, 2007 <br /> For the month of April the Department has logged 515 individual ICRs. <br /> Current Activities: <br /> The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers continued to conduct separate business and home <br /> security checks throughout the month. <br /> The Reserve Officers have been providing added security at the school on a daily basis, for the entire <br /> school day. Today will be their last shift. <br /> Training: <br /> May 21 - 23: Officer Gartner and our Department hosted a SFST training for 30 officers from the <br /> area and around the state. Tom Ryan and Dave Sjoblad along with other business <br /> men and women from the area participated. Some got sick—some did not. <br /> May 21 - 23: Officer Petersen attended an Interview and Interrogation training hosted by the Breezy <br /> Point Police Dept. <br /> Significant Cases: <br /> ❖ The department is currently involved in a Safe and Sober / Seatbelt Enforcement campaign. <br /> This campaign is running State Wide. <br /> ❖ Chief Braam recently assisted the Crow Wing County Sheriffs Dept on a significant narcotics <br /> case. <br /> ❖ The department is currently working on a significant employee theft case from a business <br /> located in the City of Jenkins. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Jerry Braam <br /> Chief of Police <br />
