The Planning Commission approved a variance for building height on an <br /> industrial structure, denied a variance for a sign request, and denied a conditional use permit <br /> request for a helicopter operation. <br /> The Planning Commission unanimously denied the conditional use permit request for the <br /> helicopter ride operation based on the following findings: <br /> 1. The application meets the definition of the airport,which is an excluded use. <br /> 2. Condition 12 of the Crafter's Mall CUP prohibits this additional use on the proposed <br /> property. <br /> For the application for a conditional use permit for the Helicopter Ride Operation, <br /> submitted by Ace Helicopters, Inc., the Planning Commission is recommending(5- <br /> i)that the application fee be refunded,less the cost to publicize the hearing. <br /> We do not plan on attending the upcoming City Council meeting, unless requested.
