Guy NOTE: ACCORDING TO JOHN DEZURIK AT SCENIC SIGN, PEQUOT LAKES HAS THE ONLY ORDINANCE THAT HE IS FAMILIAR WITH THAT COUNTS THE SQUARE FOOTAGE ON THE FREESTANDING SIGN ON BOTH SIDES TOWARDS THE SQUARE FOOTAGE. THIS CREATES A SITUATION THAT REDUCES THE ALLOWABLE SQUARE FOOTABLE BY 50% IN PEQUOT LAKES. THAT IS WHY THE ABOVE SQUARE FOOTAGES FOR THE TWO ZONES IN PEQUOT LAKES WERE REDUCED BY 50%TO MAKE THEM COMPARABLE TO OTHER CITY ORDINANCES. NOTE 2: THE COMMON THEME FROM TALKING TO ALL OF THE ZONING OFFICERS/CITY OFFICIALS IN THE OTHER CITIES WAS THAT THEY DO NOT WANT TO IMPEDE COMMERCE AND THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY VERY FLEXIBLE AND WILL TRY TO ACCOMMODATE A BUSINESS' NEEDS FOR SIGNAGE.
