AGENDA ITEM #10.1 <br /> REPORT TO <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Date: May 1, 2007 <br /> Subject: Emergency Management Director <br /> Report: The Police Department has been in the process of <br /> updating the City's Emergency Management Plan. The plan <br /> has been reviewed by the safety committee and City Staff <br /> who have offered some amendments to the plan. When <br /> complete, the plan will be before the Council for approval. <br /> In the meantime, the plan calls for an Emergency <br /> Management Director. This person would be the <br /> coordinator of emergency management operations. The <br /> Safety Committee discussed this issue and has made the <br /> recommendation to recommend to the Council that Chief <br /> Braam assume the role of Emergency Management <br /> Director for the City. <br /> Council Action Requested: Appoint Chief Braam as <br /> Emergency Management Director <br />
