Each year the process becomes more
streamlined. We were pleased with the Audit process this year. I would like to
commend Nancy Malecha on the incredible amount of work she did to assist the
auditors. She was basically responsible for the efficiency of the audit.
• Business Park- The Clerk's Office and Zoning Office have been working with a
Company called A&B Furniture who is interested in purchasing a lot in the City's
business park. BLADC has done a great job working with the company and the
City. The Business Park Committee heard a presentation from the Company and
will be recommending the sale of the lot to the Council.
• Financial Software - The next project we will be working on is training on the
new financial software.Nancy and I will be out of the office from May 14-17 for
this training. Conversion of the City's financials will also take place at that time.
• Council Meetings—In April we had two regular Council meetings. I do believe
this will help keep our meeting time down at Council meetings and make the
meetings more productive. We will continue to plan for this 2"a meeting on an as
needed basis.
