Maintenance Department Monthly Report
February & March 2007
Winter finally showed up for a couple of weeks with two heavy snowfalls.
With that came along the snow removal and snow covered sidewalk
complaints. I will be waiting on a solution for some of this during the
upcoming months to try and eliminate some potential problems next snow
season.
The Cole Memorial remodeling project is coming right along with the
installation of the elevator to be completed by the end of April possibly.
With the elevator there is no need for the access ramp. The access ramp will
possibly be removed by Habitat for Humanity to be re-used in their projects.
The City Safety Committee has been working towards the completion of its
policies. The latest to be finished is the Blood Borne Exposure plan;
Hearing Protection Plan and
Lock out-Tag out policy.
. With the melting of snow, many problem areas have been flooding causing
some inconvinence to the public. Working forward thru the 2007 street
projects the two-most prone areas to flooding should be shaped which will
end the water problems.
Meetings attended in February & March:
Feb 2-5 - MMUA Group Safety class in Pequot
Feb 6 - Joint Council/P&Z Hwy meeting
Feb 8 - City Safety and City staff meetings
Feb 8 - Park Board
Feb 9 - WSN (Mark Hallan) water plant operations
Feb 12 — Monthly Department budget meeting
Feb 15 — WSN — church and Gravdahl Drive improvements
March 3-5 — MMUA Group safety class in Nisswa
March 8 — Park Board
March 12 — Monthly Department budget meeting
March 16 — water/sewer rate study proposals
`..
