Braam <br /> Re: <br /> Part time officers position <br /> The department has finished the interview and background process for <br /> the hiring of more part time officers to help with scheduling needs. <br /> Former Police Liason David Sjoblad sat in on the final interviews. <br /> Currently we have 2 officers on our list and in most cases it is hard to <br /> get them to cover shifts on short notice due to the fact that both have <br /> full time jobs. I would like the council to authorize the hiring of 2 more <br /> officers to be on the list for part time use. <br /> The following candidates is who I recommend for the positions: <br /> Holly Jo Ailts <br /> Chris T Melberg <br /> Ailts is the director of HART animal shelter in Baxter and is a former <br /> Brainerd Police Officer. Ailts has roughly 14 yrs of police experience <br /> and comes very highly recommended by her former supervisors and co- <br /> workers. Ailts is looking for a few shifts a month just to keep active in <br /> Law Enforcement but has no desire to go back to it as a full time career. <br />
