i
AGENDA ITEM #8.1 .
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: February 6, 2007
Subject: HRA Water Bill
Report: The HRA has requested an adjustment in their
utility bill for the month of December. This bill is for
Sibley Terrace. The December bill showed that 121,000
-' gallons of water had been used, which is unusually high for
the building. Tina Nolden inspected the building and found
a small leak. I don't know if this leak was responsible for
the extra water usage. (Tina will be available to answer
questions).
In the past the City Council has given a break in the sewer
portion of the bill if a water leak was discovered and
resulted in an unusually high water bill. If the Council
proposes this type of an adjustment, staff would propose
that a refund of$364.65 be given to the HRA. This equates
to the portion of the sewer bill that is over the average bill
amount.
Council Action Requested: Decision on whether or not to
amend the bill, and if so, how much.
