i We have not heard any thing from Pelican Township about a fire contract. Also,Andover fire department has not opened any bids for fire gear yet. The ice auger contest and the radar runs during the Breezy Point Ice Fest have been cancelled due to a lack of safe ice. The rest of the celebration will proceed as planned. The committee will return any donated items for the ice auger contest. Lakes State Bank has informed us we can keep a$350.00 donation they gave us for anything we need it for. The meeting room construction project has been approved by the City Council. They would like us to get approval from the Fire Board before we start. The Fire Board meeting has been changed to January 10th to allow us to start the project. The estimated cost for the project is about $17,000. Oaks reported he received a bid from Minnesota Truss for$3500.00 for a better truss than we have planned for. The engineer's bill was $800.00. We should use steel doors and steel jambs. Oaks has a 4 foot by 4 foot window for$100.00 available. New members here tonight are John Hayes, Scott Warner, Matthew Zins, and David Wilson. They were introduced welcomed to our group. Backus Fire Department has decided to do the Fire Fighter 1 training. Their organization meeting is tomorrow night at 7 pm at their fire station. Matt and David will ride with Bill. We should not need any books for them. There will be a relief association meeting next Wednesday night at 6 pm in the upstairs meeting room. The next Officer's meeting will be at 5:30 pm at the Breezy station. Training will follow at 6:30. The topic will be CPR and AED certification. Bridge asked about getting orange safety cones for each of our tankers. We will check into this. The sheriff's office does not want to get involved in activating our siren for fire calls. We will have to do this as we need to. Loven motioned to adjourn, second by Peterson II, meeting adjourned.
