City of
Pequot
Lakes — -
AGENDA ITEM #10.08
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Sandy Peine, City Clerk
Date: January 7, 2014
Subiect: Personnel Policy Revisions
Report: The Council directed that the City offer health
insurance to employees who work 30 or more hours per week.
This required a change to the City's policy which offered pro-
rated health benefits to those working 20 or more hours per
week. This change and other statutory required changes
prompted the Job Evaluation Committee to review the entire
Personnel Policy. The more substantial changes in the policy
are listed below:
1. Health insurance offered to employees working an average
of 1560 hours per year at the same basis as full time
employees.
2. Clarification on personnel policy versus union contract
policy provisions.
3. Time off during probation periods.
4. Clarification on availability of personnel files.
