4. C0IVIMUNICATION: FIRM and CITY will establish a regular cornmunication <br />process between the primary legal counsel and the City Clerk in order to co�nmunicate <br />legal issues and discuss timing for FIRM to provide and complete services to CITY. <br />INSTITUTIONAL HISTORY: FIRM shall become fanliliaY• with the City Code and <br />City ordinances and will work wifh the City Clerk and the Mayor and City Council to <br />develop and expand FIRM's knowledge oI' CITY's legal issues as well as the histor•y of <br />the community. CITY shall malce i•easonable efforts to facilitate FIRM's said <br />familiarity. <br />6. LEGAL SERVICES TO BE PROVID�D. FIRM will provide civil legal services to <br />CITY upon z�equest of the City Council or City Clerk or the City Council's or City <br />Clerk's designated representative(s). <br />7. COMPENSATION, BILLING AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES: <br />7.1. Rates. The following table contains the ap�licable houi•ly rates to be billed by <br />FIRM and paid by CITY for legal services. <br />I 2014 <br />Gene�°al Muraicipal Matters Attorneys $115/hr. <br />All civil legal sei°vices provided to the City by <br />Flafierty & Hood not otherwise listed as <br />Employment and Real Estate, or Litigation Other Legal $65/hr. <br />matters. <br />E�apCoyfri.ent und Re�l Estate Matte��s Attorneys $135/hr. <br />Advise and represent the City in real estate <br />transactions, and labor relations, employment law Otl►er Legal $7S/hr. <br />and human resources matter•s. <br />Litigatio�a M�rtter�s Attorneys $155/hr. <br />Advise and represent the City in all contested <br />tnatters, where no insurance coverage is otherwise <br />available, including but not lilnited to: state or <br />federal district court or appellate civil litigation; Other Legal $85/hr. <br />mediation; arbitration; eminent domain; <br />administrative proceedings before state or federal <br />agencies; and like proceedings. <br />Minimum Increment of Time Silled for Services 15 mi�i. <br />7.2. Expenses.
