CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES
MONTHLY WATER/WASTEWATER REPORT
DECEMBER 2006
Prepared by: Tina Nolden (Water/WW Operator)
Waterplant: Everything is working well. I replaced the heads on the
fluoride pumps, as well as the 5-function valve, and now they're pumpin
like they should. Our Auto-Dialer is back and working nicely. On Dec. 4 ,
Kurt and Lance replaced the Butterfly Valve on High Service Pump #1 and
now it's back in service. Our fire extinguishers were checked this month
also.
Water Distribution: Midwest Testing installed both meters at City Hall on
Dec. 18th. They also set up the meter-testing bench at the Water Plant.
Originally this was going to be set up in the city hall garage, but we decided
to downsize my shop area over there, so I had them put it at the Water Plant
instead.
Wastewater: Lance and I jetted the sewer line by the Cole Memorial Bldg.
on Dec. 19th and collected a few clumps of roots. I believe the foaming root
-' killer is doing its job. I used the Tanker to flush the sewer line by
Musselman's that day as well. (MH#10 to MH#9) It's a low flow area and
needs to be cleaned out occasionally. On Dec. 20th, I sprayed down the
Main Lift Station with the Tanker.
On Dec. 25th, about 11:30pm, we had a sewer back-up at 4146 West
Sibley Street. Scott and I jetted the line and got things flowing again. The
next morning, they were having the same troubles. The manholes on West
Sibley were fine, but MH # 55 (In front of Jack Schmidt's house) was
plugged. Kurt and I jetted that line and it seemed to take care of their
problem. According to our maps, their service line goes to the south (to West
Sibley St.), so they may have had something blocking their own line. I
informed them of what we did and told them to call if they have any other
problems. Later that day, I added a little root killer to the line.
Other: I put an ad for the lawn mower on LMC's website Dec.l l t'.
I attended two water/ww classes on Dec. 12th and 13''. They were very
informative and I'm glad I went. I've included copies of the training
agendas.
Attended Safety Meeting on Dec. 19th
Ordered Safety-Grant Items on Dec. 22 nd
