�-' Section 6.1 of the Ordinance be amended to include the Extractive Use Overlay District, as follows: 4. Districts.The following overlay districts are hereby established: Highway 371 Corridor Overlay District Recreational Vehicle Resort Overlay District Extractive Use Overlay District ■ Section 6.4, titled "Extractive Use Overlay District" be added and include the following language: 6.4 Extractive Use Overlay District(EX) 1. Purpose and Intent:The purpose of the Extractive Use Overlay District(EX)is to provide areas for extractive uses and associated accessory uses, such as crushing and processing, as the City contains significant aggregate materials important for the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure in the area. The intent of the Extractive Use Overlay District is to allow for the expansion of existing extractive uses in areas containing primary aggregate resource potential and to designate areas in the City where uses of this Me are compatible with the surrounding neighborhood and also promote and ensure the overall health,welfare,safety,and comfort of the community and its residents. 2. Standards. All extractive use developments appl. Jng for a conditional use permit within the Extractive Use Overlay District must meet the criteria and standards contained in Section 8..q Extractive Uses and Restoration and Section 11.6 Conditional Use Permits of this Ordinance. ■ The map on the following page be adopted, showing the boundaries of the Extractive Use Overlay District. ■ Section 5.15 Land Use Matrix be amended to include a footnote for"Extractive Use"where it is listed as"C"(conditional use),stating: (11)Consistent with the provisions of Section 6.4. ■ Section 8.5 Extractive Uses and Restoration,Subdivision 1,be amended as follows: 1. In all districts where permitted,as defined in Section 6.4 Extractive Use Overlay District, mining shall be permitted only by CUP. Such permit shall include as a condition: a site plan, a completion plan, and a haul route plan with provision for road restoration as provided below.
