City Of Peguot Planning 2oning
From: Hippert, Elizabeth - Baxter, MN [Elizabeth.Hippert@mn.nacdnet.net]
Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2007 3:17 PM
To: City Of Pequot Planning &Zoning
Subject: Pahl seed mix
Hi Dawn,
I obtained a copy of the seed mix Pahl's would like to use for their restoration and
approve it for use in the project. I was told by Shelly Boser, the sales manager of
Landsburg, that this mix was customized for Landsburg. This mix includes grasses, forbs,
and sedges which align with deep rooted species I recommended be planted on this site as
well as four red-osier dogwood (gallon size containers) . The dogwoods are to be planted on
the edge of the property, essentially as a second line of defense & to reinforce the
shoreline.
So to avoid any miscommunication you may want to be explicit about the mix I am approving.
It is labeled "Shoreline Restoration Mix" it should be applied at the rate recommended on
the package.
Please notify the Pahls, as I think it would be best if approval comes directly from your
office.
Beth Hippert
Technician
Crow Wing SWCD
7118 Clearwater Road
Baxter, MN 56425
ph: 218-828-6197
fax: 218-828-6095
elizabeth.hippert @mn.nacdnet.net
www.mn.nres.usda.gov/partnerships/crowwing/
1
