Polly Abler, Crosslake, stated Curves would bring business to town. Patrons workout so <br /> they are able to eat more, bringing business to local eating establishments, as well as <br /> shopping. <br /> Parking in the City Hall lot was discussed. Employees could park at the City parking lot. <br /> It would be a beneficial solution for both businesses. <br /> Dave Sjoblad, City Councilman, stated that the highway business is out to year 2014. <br /> County Road 11 is a County Road and the City cannot dictate parking. The City <br /> employees have been asked to park on the east side of the City H parking lot to leave <br /> easy access for people visiting City Hall. <br /> A motion was made by Tom Adams, seconded by Bill H" in, prove the <br /> Conditional Use Permit,with no conditions, based on a llowi ding of Fact: <br /> 1. The establishment of a fitness center ( is an ap ate use in the <br /> Downtown Mixed Use district. A fitn center qualifies as ercial Use, <br /> %�< j <br /> Other, which requires a conditional u it in DMU distract <br /> 2. The proposed use is unlikely to create an interference with traffic in the <br /> immediate vicinity. The building, parking area, and access to the property <br /> currently exist, and the proposed use is unlikely to generate excessive amounts of <br /> traffic for the infrastructure in place. <br /> 9. There are adequate measures to provide sufficient off-street parking and loading <br /> space. There is an existing gravel parking lot that can hold approximately 5 <br /> vehicles. Also, the parcel is located within the Downtown Mixed use District, and <br /> it exempt from parking standards outlined in Section 7.10. <br /> 10.
